IKEA Kitchens

IKEA kitchens can look great, but they’re notoriously tricky to fit – the cabinets use European sizing which doesn’t always align with traditional British kitchen dimensions, and the cabinet legs tend to be a bit taller compared to cabinets from other companies like Magnet and Wickes.

But the main issue that most kitchen fitters will mention with IKEA kitchens is that there is no “service gap” behind the units. If you buy cabinets from pretty much any other kitchen manufacturer in the UK, there will be a gap behind the cabinets to allow for things like pipes and electrics. IKEA units go flush to the wall, meaning you often have to dig into walls if there are pipes or electric cables that needed added (for appliances like washing machines, for example), or you have to adjust the cabinets themselves.

None of this is a problem for us – we understand that IKEA make excellent kitchen units, and with very slight adjustments they can fit in pretty much any UK home. So if you’re considering buying a kitchen from the IKEA in Bristol, then rest assured that we can fit it for you with zero hassle.
